Nutrition and Food Grants

Nutrition and Food Grants is sponsored by Various Foundations. Grants supporting food security, nutrition programs, hunger relief, and healthy eating initiatives, available for food banks, food pantries, and food assistance programs, as well as school meals, community gardens, and projects promoting equitable access to nutritious food.

Food, Nutrition and Wellness Grants - Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services / Food, Nutrition and Wellness Grants Food, Nutrition and Wellness Grants Action for Healthy Kids: Nearly 250 schools will receive grant awards of $2,000 or $3,000 to support increased breakfast participation with new alternative breakfast programs, including breakfast in the classroom or grab-and-go.

Chef Ann Foundation : The Chef Ann Foundation offers four grant opportunities to support schools in the transition to scratch cooking and healthier school meals. Let's Move Salad Bars to Schools : Schools are to use the grants (approximately $2,800 value) to implement salad bars as part of their daily meal programs.

Florida Agriculture in the Classroom Volunteer Grant : Grant opportunity for agricultural nonprofit organizations based in Florida that are interested in educating Florida students about Florida agriculture. Samsung Solve for Tomorrow : Samsung awards grants to increase technology in schools to support STEM curriculum. Toshiba Grants for K-5 : Toshiba offers grants to help teachers improve math and science concepts in the classroom.

Physical Activity and Wellness Grants Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood : The Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood is intended to be an incubator of promising research and development projects that may ultimately enhance the development, health, safety, education or quality of life of children from infancy through seven years of age across the country.

Clif Family Foundation Grants : Small grants are awarded for general organizational support or to fund specific projects that address programs that protect the earth, incorporate healthy foods, increase outdoor activity, build stronger communities and reduce environmental hazards. Fuel Up Grants : K-12 schools can apply for an equipment grant to help increase students' access to, and participation in, nutritious school meals.

Good Sports Equipment Grant : Good Sports provides equipment to promote physical activity in youth organizations. Health Foundation of South Florida : This funding opportunity will support organizations in the implementation of evidence-based and innovative programs aimed at increasing children’s knowledge and attitudes toward healthy eating, leading to healthier nutrition behavior change. Active Schools : The Let's Move! movement provides grant opportunities for participating schools. The American Heart Association's Teaching Gardens are funded by donations from individuals, corporations, foundations and other community-based organizations.

The Lorrie Otto Seeds for Education Grant Program : The Lorrie Otto Seeds for Education Grant Program provides small grants for youth-centered efforts to establish and maintain native plant landscape learning environments. Scott's Miracle-Gro Foundation Grants : Scotts Miracle-Gro is supporting the creation of community gardens and green spaces.

Whole Foods Market Foundation : Our Garden Grant program provides a $3,500 monetary grant to support a new or existing edible educational garden located at a K-12 School in the U.S. or Canada. Youth Garden Grant provides funds to schools to establish new school and community gardens and assist in sustaining and renewing existing gardens.
