NYC Greg Hill Foundation's Restaurant Strong Fund

NYC Greg Hill Foundation's Restaurant Strong Fund is sponsored by Greg Hill Foundation. This grant cycle of the Restaurant Strong Fund focuses on providing financial support for recent or future upgrades to kitchen equipment, particularly coal- and wood-burning ovens, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability.

Restaurant Stronger Grant - Restaurant Strong Fund The Greg Hill Foundation and Grubhub have teamed up again to create the Restaurant Stronger program, a new grant opportunity for restaurants through the Restaurant Strong Fund. As restaurants begin to re-open or increase their dining capacity we understand the difficulties, challenges and costs that come with that.

We want to help restaurants in this transition and provide them the resources to hit the ground running as we all work to getting back to normal business. The Restaurant Stronger Grant program will be supported with a $2 million donation recommended from the Grubhub Community Relief Fund (GCRF), which will go directly to support restaurant owners in their efforts to re-open and expand their dining.

The Restaurant Strong Fund will be providing $5,000 grants to restaurants to cover the following items: COVID-19 regulation compliance Inventory/Stock Purchases The Restaurant Stronger grants will be limited to restaurants that have 5 or less locations and within the following cities: Atlanta, Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley), Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles area (Los Angeles, Anaheim, /Long Beach)New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle, and Washington D.

C. Restaurants will have the opportunity to apply for this grant by providing specific plans on how the grant will be utilized. Applications for grants will be open from May 25 through June 5 and will be fully distributed to restaurants by June 11.

To qualify for grant assistance, a restaurant must satisfy all of the following requirements: Restaurant is located in one of the cities listed above Completed Application Form in one of the Participating Cities 5 or less locations for the restaurant and restaurant ownership group Provide a detailed plan of how they will be utilizing the grant Provide an appropriate explanation for the need of a grant Support The restaurant strong fund The Greg Hill Foundation’s Restaurant Strong Fund seeks to provide $1,000 – $5,000 grants directly to restaurant industry employees and owners who have been impacted by Covid-19 across the U.S. There are more than 1 million restaurants in the U.S., home to more than 15 million employees nationwide who are especially vulnerable to the effects of Covid-19 closures.
