Off-Grid Energy Challenge is sponsored by U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF) in partnership with Power Africa (USAID initiative). The Off-Grid Energy Challenge makes grants to African enterprises providing off-grid solutions that deploy renewable resources and power local economic activities. The program works in partnership with Power Africa, an initiative of the U.

## USADF Off-Grid Energy Challenge **USADF Off-Grid Energy Challenge** Open from December 08, 2023 – January 31, 2024 **Application period OPEN** USADF is excited to request proposals for the **USADF Off-Grid Energy Challenge**. Proposals are invited from eligible African off-grid energy companies. Selected enterprises will receive funding in the form of **grant capital of up to $250,000**.

To be considered for the Challenge, applicants must be majority African-owned and -managed private companies and organizations (including non-profit and not-for-profit) registered and operating in any of **these** countries in Africa (**_Benin, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo (South Kivu), Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia_**).

All instructions to apply are included in the document labeled “RFP,” uploaded below. The application template for applicants to fill in is also uploaded below. Applicants must send the completed application template, as well as all required attachments, on or before January 31, 2024.
