However, municipalities of 100,000 people must provide a 20% local match on infrastructure projects. While funding is available for planning and design, ODOT consultant assistance is limited and should only be requested if critically important.
Those seeking ODOT consultant assistance specifically for development of an active transportation or school travel plan should instead apply via the AT Planning Assistance application and the STP Development Assistance application. Any action or work acted on prior to FHWA project authorization will make the entire project phase ineligible for compensation. Covering project overages is the responsibility of the project sponsor.
