nicufellows ) • Instagram photos and videos University of Oklahoma College of Medicine Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Mission Our mission for the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine's Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship program is to train the next generation of leaders in the field of neonatology by seamlessly integrating discovery and application of new knowledge with structured mentorship.
We aim to provide a collaborative environment that fosters training of fellows in broad disciplines such as clinical care, education, translational and basic research, advocacy, and quality improvement. Specifically, our objective is to train our graduates for an independent and successful career in all practice settings. To that end, they will develop expertise in providing evidence-based care to all infants.
We are also committed to providing opportunities for scholarly pursuits and exposing our trainees to the unique resources that exist at OU in addition to the wider neonatal-perinatal medicine community. We strive to augment our curriculum with experiences and electives that foster the unique interests of each fellow, while serving a diverse patient population.
Our mission is enhanced by our strong emphasis on wellness, interdisciplinary collaboration, social and intellectual diversity, professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to lifelong learning.
Fellowship Program Director Associate Program Director Associate Program Director OU Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Program Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Program Information 9 ACGME approved training positions Fills 3 new spots each year Accepts applications through ERAS 3 letters of recommendation (1 from your Residency Program Director) Applicants must have successfully completed an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program.
Our Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship program does sponsor applicants holding either a J-1 Visa under the sponsorship of the ECFMG or a permanent immigrant visa ("green card"). These applicants must also go through ERAS. In addition to the required materials, these applicants must include the ECFMG Status report.
