One-off Small Grant

One-off Small Grant is a grant from the Wilde Ganzen Foundation that funds the first collaborative project between a community-based organization in a Global Majority country and a Dutch or Belgian fundraising partner. For 70 years, Wilde Ganzen has supported small-scale international development initiatives by combining its own contribution with funds raised locally.

The maximum award is €6,000, with Wilde Ganzen contributing €2,500 and the Dutch or Belgian partner raising €2,500. Eligibility is limited to new partners — this grant is awarded only once per organization. Applicants must be community-based organizations in DAC-listed countries working with an established Dutch or Belgian fundraising partner.

If you’re a community-based organization in a Global Majority (DAC-listed) country, we can join forces with you and your Dutch or Belgian fundraising partner to create lasting impact.

We offer different funding models depending on the stage of our partnership: A first collaboration with the Dutch or Belgian partner is eligible for a small project grant of up to €6,000. If we decide to work together, your Dutch or Belgian partner will raise half of the budget and transfer it to Wilde Ganzen Foundation. We will then add our premium and transfer the full amount to the partner in your country.

For example, if your budget is €5. 000 both the Dutch/Belgian private initiative and Wilde Ganzen Foundation will each contribute €2. 500 to the project.

This funding model is only meant for new partners and is awarded only once. Is this your first time applying for Wilde Ganzen Foundation funding, or has it been more than three years since our last collaboration? Then you may apply for a regular project grant together with your Dutch/Belgian partner.

We support projects aligned with our mission to eradicate poverty, across any relevant sector. Following an organizational capacity assessment, we determine the maximum grant amount your organization may apply for—up to a ceiling of €300,000. Wilde Ganzen Foundation typically contributes one-third of the total budget.

Your organisation and your Dutch/Belgian partner raise the remaining two-thirds. For example, for a project budget of €15,000 your organisation and your partner raise €10,000 and Wilde Ganzen Foundation contributes €5,000. After successfully completing a project together, we may offer a multi-year commitment of two or three years.

You will still need to submit an annual budget and activity plan each year. As with regular grants, Wilde Ganzen Foundation contributes one-third of the budget, and you and your partner raise the remaining two-thirds.
