Call for applications to support innovative, data-driven energy services and applications - EU Funding Call for applications aimed at Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to foster the development of innovative, data-driven energy services. With a total funding pool of EUR 1,200,000, the initiative will select up to 20 projects to receive a lump sum of up to EUR 60,000 each.
This funding is paired with a comprehensive 10-month Support and Mentoring Programme divided into three stages: project design, service development, and user validation. The core mission of this call is to accelerate the digital energy transition by utilizing a Cloud-Edge Data and Intelligence Service Platform.
This framework allows energy value chain actors to share data securely and deploy services that integrate renewable energy and distributed flexibility.
Applicants must focus their solutions on one of the specific challenges defined by the consortium, which include: Operational Management: Monitoring, Governance, and Lifecycle Management; Technical Infrastructure: Federated Edge-AI Pilots and the development of bi-directional data connectors for residential assets; Grid Forecasting: Load baseline calculations and near-real-time substation forecasting to predict congestion or overvoltage; Consumer Engagement: Improving flexibility profiling, smart V2G/G2V charging, and "what-if" scenario analysis for prosumers; and Interoperability: Cross-dataspace AI services and cross-validation with other European projects like Hedge-IoT.
