Every dollar stays here — Since OEC was formed in 1937, we've been dedicated to improving quality of life across central Oklahoma — not just by providing affordable power, but through active involvement in our communities. In 1993, OEC adopted Operation Round Up® — and for over 30 years, our members have been rounding up their monthly electric bills to the next whole dollar. A $97.

43 bill becomes $98. 00, with the extra 57 cents going straight into the ORU fund. Simple idea.

Every penny contributed is kept in the OEC Foundation fund — entirely separate from OEC's operating accounts — and administered by a 9-member volunteer board. Grants are not awarded for utility bill payments or political purposes.

Change Makes Change — Nov. 24 $43,750 in October grants for low-income housing, disaster relief, and member services. A $10,000 grant to Bridges in Norman helps prepare youth for success with community support.

Changing Lives With Every Ring The Assistance League's Operation School Bell clothes and cares for children in Norman. Two children in OEC's service territory had their Make-A-Wish dreams fulfilled by a Foundation grant. Co-op members who prefer not to participate in Operation Round Up® may complete the opt-out form here .
