Application Process — AWCCF AWCCF completes two grant cycles a year. The dates below outline when organizations need to submit materials for each grant cycle. Please, note schools and universities can only apply in the Capital Cycle.
All organizations applying for the Capital Grants Cycle must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) via the grant portal by 11:45 p. m. on April 30.

m. on January 31. Grant Guidelines & Eligibility The Foundation will support charitable organizations that promote or preserve the Arts and Humanities.
Priority will be given primarily to those organizations located in Central Indiana. The Board has discretion to make decisions regarding any proposal on a case-by-case basis. The Foundation will make grants only to those organizations that are described in IRC Section 501(c)(3) and are public charities defined in IRC Sec.
509(a)(1), 509(a)(2) or 509(a)(3). The Foundation does not make grants to individuals or fund endowments. The Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation has two grant cycles each year - an Operations Cycle and a Capital Cycle.
The Foundation invites organizations that meet the above guidelines to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI). For organizations new to the Operations Cycle, you must submit an LOI via the grant portal by November 30. The Operations Cycle LOI will be available on the portal by October 1.
For the Capital Cycle, the LOI is mandatory for all organizations and must be submitted via the grant portal by April 30. The Capital Cycle LOI will be available on the portal by March 1. Please refer to Important Dates & Deadlines for more details.
Organizations receiving an Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation grant will be required to sign a grant agreement and submit interim progress and/or final grant reports. If your organization has never applied for funding, you will need to create a new account in the online grant portal. You can access the online grant portal by clicking on the Apply Here / Grant Portal Login tab below. If you already have an account, the Apply Here / Grant Portal Login tab takes applicants to their respective Dashboard, where they can access Grant Applications, Grant Reports and other relevant materials.
