Below are some of these tools, and our program page has a full list of all of Business Oregon's programs. Our Business Finance Programs brochure is also a quick way to find what you need. We get it, everyone loves grants.
We do have some limited grant funding for businesses in several targeted programs. For businesses, we have matching grants to help small businesses export goods to markets outside Oregon. For communities, we have more grant funding available through the programs below, but they can fund many projects such as wastewater systems, brownfield redevelopment, or rural entrepreneurial centers.
Grants for Businesses & Communities Community grants for infrastructure, health, safety, etc. Business grants for exporting goods Rural Opportunity Initiative (ROI) Federal Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Support Program Loans and Loan Guarantees/Insurance We can work to deliver small business loans in the form of debt financing at favorable terms for applicants who are “almost bankable.
” If there’s not a good fit with one of our direct loan programs, we also work with many local banks and credit unions to provide loan guarantees to help free up capital to those business applicants. We also partner with many of the community development financial institutions and economic development districts throughout the State to provide access to capital. Business Oregon Relender Fund (BOR) Entrepreneurial Development Loan Fund (EDLF) Oregon Business Development Fund (OBDF) Oregon Royalty Fund (ORF) Capital Access Programs (CAP) Credit Enhancement Fund (CEF) Oregon offers a wide range of business incentives designed to encourage investment, innovation, and growth.
These tools include tax abatements that reduce the cost of new investments, as well as strategic grants and financial supports that help businesses expand, modernize, and strengthen their operations. Private Activity/Conduit Bonds A bit more complex than other direct loan programs , these revenue bonds are not liabilities of the state of Oregon. These tax-exempt bonds can be issued for certain industrial projects, and are sold on the private market.
