TA providers are selected every two years through a competitive process, reflecting the program's commitment to ensuring that technical assistance is widely available and accessible to small businesses. This program is designed to help ensure that the economic recovery is equitable and does not perpetuate long-standing disparities. For the 25-27 biennium, the TA program received approximately $4.

5 million in funding to support providers' efforts to provide culturally sensitive, linguistically appropriate, and geographically aligned resources to small businesses. The funding will enhance and expand their efforts to support small businesses that are underrepresented or underserved. Each provider determines its own scope of work based on its capacity, experience, expertise, and client needs.

This flexibility allows the program to fund a variety of TA providers that serve Oregon's wide range of small businesses, including contractors, childcare providers, Main Street retailers, and food-based microenterprises.
