ORIGINS Global Research Innovation Initiative is sponsored by Sanofi. Sanofi's ORIGINS grant initiative seeks to understand new pathways, mechanisms, and the origins of chronic inflammatory diseases that have high unmet needs.
The current focus is on a better understanding of the key nodal pathways of inflammation, including OX40/OX40L in T-cell modulation via basic and translational research related to pathophysiologic/pathogenetic mechanisms of atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, asthma, COPD, or inflammatory bowel disease.
Priority nodal pathways and signaling molecules include type 1- and Th17-driven inflammation, T/B-cell modulation, Tregs, innate immunity, immune checkpoints, fibrosis, or immunometabolism.
