This funding is awarded to various organizations to help address gaps in services these agencies can provide to the citizens of Bexar County. Funding these agencies provide important social services, education programs, economic development initiatives, and other services for Bexar County citizens.

This grant funding from Bexar County is conditional and subject to the execution of an agreement, and the receipt of certain endorsements, certificates, exhibits, etc. All funds are dispersed on a reimbursement basis and must be expended by the end of the fiscal year in which it was awarded. The funding is available for program or project expenditures from October 1st through September 30th of the awarded fiscal year.

Once the funding has been awarded by the Bexar County Commissioners Court, we will proceed to finalize an agreement with the Agency. An agreement must be approved and executed by the Bexar County Commissioners Court before fund will be dispersed to the Agency as a reimbursement for program or project expenditures.

All funding requests for programs or projects must be completed online through the Outside Agency Funding Application in ordered to be considered. You can access the Application Portal through the left navigation panel or by clicking the below Application Portal link. **Please Note the Following Information about the FY26 Countywide Application** Grant funding at levels of $25,000 or $50,000 will be available through the program.

Please review the Eligibility page to determine whether your program/project will be eligible for funding. All agencies will receive a notification by email regarding the status of their application and if approved, the level of funding awarded and the next steps in the process. Once the funding has been awarded by the Bexar County Commissioners Court, staff will proceed to finalize an agreement with the awarded agencies.

An agreement must be approved and executed by the Bexar County Commissioners Court before funding will be dispersed to the agency as a reimbursement for their program or project expenditures. Awarded funding will be dispersed on a reimbursement basis for eligible program or project expenditures from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026 ; and must be expended by the end of the fiscal year, September 30, 2026 .
