OwnPGH Grant Program

OwnPGH Grant Program is sponsored by Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) of Pittsburgh. The OwnPGH program promotes affordable homeownership opportunities within the City of Pittsburgh by providing grants and second mortgage financing for homebuyers. Eligible borrowers may also qualify for the Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance Program (DPCCAP).

OwnPGH Homeownership Program OwnPGH Homeownership Program Financing for homebuyers in the City of Pittsburgh The OwnPGH Homeownership Program (OwnPGH) provided up to $90,000 to homebuyers seeking to purchase a home within the City of Pittsburgh. Please note, the URA is no longer accepting applications for this program.

Homebuyers with a household income of 80% of Area Median Income (AMI) or below were able to receive up to $90,000 total, in the form of a grant, for the purchase of a house within the City of Pittsburgh. This program was made possible through the American Rescue Plan Act. The URA's following bank partners helped homebuyers explore if they pre-qualify for a home loan and complete their application to the OwnPGH Program.

Post-Closing Stewardship Services For OwnPGH homebuyers: Please note, ongoing stewardship services have transitioned from the City of Bridges Community Land Trust to the URA. Additional Homebuying Assistance First-time homebuyers making less than 80% of the AMI may be eligible to receive up to $7,500 for down payment and closing costs in the form of a 0% interest, 5-year deferred loan through the Housing Opportunity Fund.
