5. PA State Grant Program A grant is a type of financial aid award that you don't need to repay, as long as you meet all of the eligibility requirements. Once you submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), PHEAA will trigger the next step in the PA State Grant process.
First-time applicants must complete the additional application items. Most renewal students shouldn't have to complete any other application items, but some may. We will let you know if you are required to provide more information.
