Partnership on Artificial Intelligence to Benefit People and Society San Francisco, California Technology in the Public Interest Technology in the Public Interest Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (PAI) is a global, multi-stakeholder organization comprising over 100 partner organizations from industry, civil society, and academia.

PAI is dedicated to identifying emerging challenges in artificial intelligence (AI), mobilizing collective responses, and developing actionable resources that promote safety, inclusion, and accountability. PAI’s work is undertaken through five program areas including (1) Safety Critical AI; (2) Fair, Transparent, and Accountable AI; (3) AI, Labor, and the Economy; (4) Inclusive Research and Design; and (5) AI and Media Integrity.

Each program area monitors trends that demand collective action, convenes workshops, produces research, advances best practices, informs public policy, and fosters broader public understanding of AI’s impacts. This award supports PAI’s general operations.

Technology in the Public Interest The Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (PAI) is a global multi-stakeholder nonprofit that brings together more than 100 partner organizations from across industry, civil society, and academia to explore and help address the social implications of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

Through its work, PAI establishes a common ground between entities which otherwise may not have cause to work together. The organization’s activities are situated across five programs where its partners collaborate including: Safety-Critical AI; Fair, Transparent, and Accountable AI; AI, Labor, and the Economy; Inclusive Research and Design; and AI and Media Integrity.
