PECO Energizing Education Program (PEEP)

PECO Energizing Education Program (PEEP) is sponsored by PECO. The PEEP program provides professional development, curriculum, and an opportunity to apply for mini-grants (up to $400) for additional classroom energy/STEM materials and supplies.

The PECO Energizing Education Program · National Energy Education Development Project The PECO Energizing Education Program For nearly 30 years, PECO and The NEED Project have partnered together to provide local schools and Out-of-School Time (OST) educational providers with the PECO Energizing Education Program (PEEP).

PEEP includes professional development workshops, curriculum and kits, and additional optional opportunities to participate in throughout the academic year.

Participating schools/organizations receive (at no cost): Hands-on training on energy and relevant curriculum (Substitute reimbursement or stipend provided) Hands-on energy curriculum An opportunity to apply for a mini grant (up to $400) for additional classroom energy/STEM materials and supplies An opportunity for students to participate in an Educational Energy Audit ( What is an Energy Audit?

) Schools who participate in an energy audit will also receive a NEED Energy Efficiency and Conservation Kit as a bonus! An opportunity to receive an Energy Fair Box to host a school or community Energy or STEM Fair An opportunity to participate in the Energy Innovation Challenge (Coming Soon!) Who can participate?

Those in the PECO service area that are: Out-of-School Time (OST) educational providers Pennsylvania Solar for Schools participants PECO service area teachers of grades 3-12 in the following content areas: Science, math, technology, gifted & talented, and/or special education Join us for a workshop!
