The Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) partners with children's hospitals in California, Nevada, and Hawaii to fund critical, unfunded needs related to pediatric trauma and injury prevention. This includes education, outreach, and safety resources.

Through life-saving initiatives like our Pediatric Trauma Program -designed to reduce the leading cause of death among children-we provide education, equipment, and resources that prevent injuries and save lives.

We also award community grants and provide scholarships and leadership development opportunities , to thousands of Kiwanis youth. A Better Future for Our Children Pediatric Trauma remains the leading cause of death and injury among children ages 14 and under in the United States.

Through our innovative Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP), the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund is committed to developing local projects which will reduce the number of children in our three-state District who are killed or injured by trauma, ensuring all children live happy, healthy and safe lives.

The Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund offers an array of grant programs to our Kiwanis and Service Leadership Program clubs to enhance and further their efforts to build a better future for our children. She lost everything, her wedding ring, pictures from her youth, and her happiness. When the police came they asked me for my name and what had happened. I answered in a small trembling voice, Dear Members of the CNH Children’s Fund and Kiwanis, I am writing to express how incredibly grateful to have been selected as a recipient of the 2024 Glenn & Millie Muggelberg Memorial Scholarship.

It is truly an honor to receive such a scholarship and I have much gratitude for those who made this possible. Thank you so much for Dear Kiwanis Children’s Fund Donors, As a proud recipient of the Pete and Dianne Horton Memorial Scholarship, please accept my sincere gratitude for this recognition.

I am most proud of my current involvement with Circle K International, and the many friends that I have made, both within my home club, UC San Diego and across the Seaside Division. I am also proud Hello! My name is Miah Chao and I’m a first-year public health student at UCLA with the intent of pursuing medical or dental school.

My family was very worried about affording the high cost of this educational journey but the gracious support of the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund has helped relieve part of this financial burden I’d like to thank the Kiwanis for this generous [scholarship] because it allows me to pursue my educational goals without the pressure of financial stress.

Last year I served as CNH Key Club District’s member recognition chair where I learned invaluable skills that I definitely will use in my next three years at Cal Poly As a Past Lieutenant Governor, the greatest skill I was able to receive was public speaking and networking! Being in a higher position on the District Board meant talking in large crowds and learning to communicate with a wide range of people!

I gained confidence speaking in big crowds and going up to adults, asking Scot Miller, Aktion Club member and Special Olympic Athlete, has been a member of the Fresno County Special Olympics swim team since the early 2000’s and has the fastest time in almost every event in Fresno County. Throughout his swim career, Scot has won more than 200 medals.

Within the local Special Olympics Swim program, I would like to thank Key Club and the CNH Children’s Fund for making my dreams come true. Receiving this scholarship has meant the world to me and it will undoubtedly help me thrive in my future years as I approach college.

Winning this scholarship means a lot because I will be able to pursue Receiving the Russell and Jaimee Kiner Scholarship from CNH allowed me to pursue my college education at UCLA with the confidence and assurance that I would not be held back by financial concerns.

The scholarship allowed me to spend time focusing on developing my passions and my studies, becoming the best student and leader This scholarship has helped relieve my parents of the burden of paying so much for college tuition. As such, I did not have to hesitate as much when I made the choice to attend a UC, which does cost a great deal.
