Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) - Data Science Award is sponsored by Department of Defense (DOD) - Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). Supports research that develops or uses quantitative and analytical approaches, processes, and/or systems to obtain knowledge and insight from large and/or complex sets of prostate cancer data. This includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, bioinformatics, computational biology, digital pathology, and medical imaging applied to prostate cancer data. The research should address at least one of the PCRP's overarching challenges, such as improving overall health, wellness and survivorship, developing new treatments, enhancing clinical care, or defining the biology of prostate cancer progression to lethal prostate cancer. Retrospective clinical research is allowed, but prospective recruitment of human subjects and clinical trials are not. Preliminary data is encouraged but not required.
