We Help Families Maintain Utility Services. For more than 40 years, we’ve served the limited-income community by providing utility assistance grants to families and individuals in need. We partner with utility companies across the United States to provide assistance grants and other programs to help utility customers maintain basic gas, water, wastewater and electric services.

Dollar Energy Fund specializes in the administration of limited-income utility assistance programs, creates customized software technology and offers a variety of customer service call center resources.
Our programs utilize innovative techniques to provide our clients with quality solutions to serve their customer base. Utility Assistance Grants Helpful Tools to Get Started Whether you are seeking an assistance grant from our program or interested in making a donation, we want to make the process as easy as possible. Start by contacting your utility company.
They will help you determine your eligibility for an assistance grant and refer you to either a community-based agency or our online MyApp portal to start your application. Grants are issued on a first come, first served basis while funding is available, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you are facing a utility crisis.
Work with one of our community-based agency partners to complete your application or fill out our application form online (available for select utility customers). You will be asked to provide a copy of your utility bill and proof of income for all members of your household. You may also need to show proof that you made an effort to pay your bill in the last 90 days.
Our grant program specialists will review your application and documentation to verify your award status and, if eligible, work with your utility company to apply an assistance grant directly to your account in the exact amount needed to prevent a termination or restore your service. There are many ways you can help make an impact for your neighbors in need.
Whether you contribute through our website, add a donation to your monthly utility bill or mail a check, your contribution will go directly to help households who are struggling to afford basic utility services. We believe in neighbors helping neighbors.
