Eligibility for this funding opportunity is limited to Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Transportation Institute. This announcement is a follow-on to Cooperative Agreement No. DTFH6114H00017 to TRB entitled “Phase I of SHRP 2 Safety Data Implementation and Oversight.” The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to enter into a sole source Cooperative Agreement with Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Transportation Institute to perform the work. The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to provide financial and technical support for the Phase II operation and management of the Second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP 2) Naturalistic Driving Study (NDS) data and SHRP 2 Roadway Information Database (RID) – together referred to herein as the SHRP 2 Safety Data. Under this agreement, the Recipient, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Transportation Institute (VTTI), shall continue to maintain the repository of the SHRP 2 Safety Data to enable access and use by researchers during the agreement period and beyond. 50% Cost Sharing is required.
