New & Existing Philanthropic Partnerships | Citizens Energy Group Philanthropic Partnerships New Partners Existing Partners Citizens Energy Group wants to thoughtfully grant financial support to organizations which are providing important value to our community and which are aligned with Citizens’ environmental, business, or community sustainability goals —themselves modeled after the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) .
Our Philanthropic Partnerships review team will evaluate each funding application, specifically prioritizing proposals which demonstrate that they serve Citizens’ customers/communities and add value in these various categories: Addressing poverty, hunger, health, etc. UN Sustainable Development Goals: 01, 02, 03 Addressing quality training for youth and adults UN Sustainable Development Goal: 04 Expanding access to opportunity for all businesses, entrepreneurs, and talent.
UN Sustainable Development Goals: 05, 10, 16 Addressing water quality, conservation, ecology, and climate action. UN Sustainable Development Goals: 06, 07, 12, 13, 14, 15 Addressing work readiness, industry innovation, and community sustainability. UN Sustainable Development Goal: 08, 09, 11 Addressing culture-making and community partnerships which support the other categories.
UN Sustainable Development Goals: 16, 17 Request a Charitable Contribution Application Prioritization In addition to the sustainability categories listed above, the Philanthropic Partnerships review team may specially prioritize partner funding applications which demonstrate: A not-for-profit or tax-exempt organizational designation. A stated commitment to non-discrimination in hiring or programming.
An organizational history of successful community impact. A distinct separation from political activities, candidates, or organizations. Applications are subject to a 90-day review process.
Applications submitted less than 90 days prior to the date of need will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Citizens’ philanthropic partners are making a big difference for our Central Indiana community. Here are a few examples a few examples of who (and how) we support!
Citizens sponsors the annual Homecoming Bash, supporting Trinity Haven's mission to provide safe, affirming housing for LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness. Citizens supports INHP's mission to ensure everyone lives in a home that enables them to thrive, enhancing the quality of life for our Indianapolis neighbors. Environmental Stewardship Citizens believes in empowering underserved youth.
Camptown engages young people in outdoor activities, fostering a connection with nature and promoting lifelong commitment to protecting natural spaces. Citizens supports the Indianapolis Jazz Fest, nurturing creativity, mental health, and community resilience through music, which uplifts spirits and connects people across cultures and generations.
Citizens supports Catholic Charities in fostering equity, strengthening the community, and creating long-term social and economic stability for vulnerable populations in central Indiana. 100 Black Men of Indianapolis Citizens supports 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, believing in mentoring-based educational programs that build positive self-esteem, personal responsibility, and motivation to succeed in school for future leaders.
