It is More than Just Money Our S cholarship P rogram is unique in Canada and goes far beyond financial assistance. It is an opportunity for PhD students to join a stimulating and transformative community whose common interest is to contribute to a better future for Canada and the world. Scholarship recipients are selected through a rigorous selection process lasting several months.

These Scholars are chosen not only for their academic excellence, but also for their dedication and capacity to share and disseminate knowledge for the benefit of others. You Can Push the Boundaries You have already achieved a lot, but you want to do even more and push back academic boundaries. You are involved in the community and want to fully participate in our programs so that you can make a difference.

You Will Be Inspired and Guided You will have the opportunity to participate in several events organized by the Foundation, from conferences to leadership training and master classes. You may decide to co-publish works with Fellows or Mentors, and participate in public policy seminars to test how your research can be implemented.

You Will Be Working on Major Societal Issues You will carry out basic research and work on fundamental research questions of interest to Canada and Canadian society. We are looking for motivated people who dare to share their knowledge and disseminate it widely for the benefit of all.

You Will Be Part of a Larger Dialogue The Foundation encourages public and community dialogue on major societal issues, bearing in mind that academia cannot and should not work in isolation. Whether at national or international events, the Foundation acts as a catalyst for enriching conversations by highlighting the plurality of viewpoints and creating spaces conducive to collective reflection.

As a disseminator and facilitator, the Foundation enables its community to promote its achievements, share its results, and ensure their concrete impact within society. Inclusion in a vibrant community of Scholars, Fellows and Mentors, all leaders in their respective disciplines and fields.

Exchanges and inspiration by and from Mentors and Fellows, including unique experiential learning opportunities that enrich and complement your academic experience. An annual stipend of up to $50,000 for three years to cover tuition and living expenses. An annual allowance of up to $20,000 for three years to support research, networking, and travel related to the doctoral project and Foundation programming.

Inclusion in a large community of more than 500 Alumni and Alumnae of the Foundation, whose professional achievements following the Scholarship are eloquent testimonies to the value of this outstanding recognition.
