Funding can be for projects, programs, or general operating support, with priority areas including creative and performing arts, education, health and wellness, and play and recreation for preK–12 and middle school youth from marginalized or under-resourced communities.

Our application process is designed to help us understand your organization’s vision and determine how we can best support your impact Step 1: Complete the Eligibility Quiz All applications begin with a brief eligibility quiz. This one-minute assessment ensures your organization aligns with our funding priorities. You must pass the eligibility quiz to proceed to the Letter of Inquiry (LOI).

Step 2: Letter of Inquiry (LOI) Once you’ve successfully completed the eligibility quiz, you’ll be redirected to submit a Letter of Inquiry. Share the essentials about your organization, proposed project, and funding request. You can save your progress and return anytime.

You’ll receive email confirmation once submitted. Step 3: Full Application (If Invited) Foundation staff review all LOIs within 4-12 weeks. Where appropriate, we’ll invite you to submit a complete application for Board consideration.

Grant approvals occur at Board meetings in February, May, September, and November. The process typically takes 3-5 months from initial inquiry to final approval. What areas is the foundation interested in funding?

The Foundation disburses approximately $5 million annually. Clearly articulate your funding needs in your LOI. We value organizations with diversified funding sources and advise against relying on PFF for substantial, ongoing annual support.
