Place-based Impact Investing - Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina Fiscal Sponsorships Lowcountry African American Giving Circle Place-based Impact Investing Disaster Relief Lowcountry Conservation Loan Fund Coastal Community Foundation 50th Anniversary Tri-County Housing Futures Fund Ambassadors of Philanthropy Coastal Community Foundation of SC, ACH Authorization Agreement Place-based Impact Investing In 2018, Coastal Community Foundation launched its Place-Based Impact Investing initiative with an initial $3 million investment from the IMPACT Endowment.
With this capital, CCF is actively investing in businesses and nonprofit programs that will achieve both a measurable financial return as well as a positive, social impact. This is one of the key tools CCF will use to target the region’s core issues identified during community conversations and aligned with CCF’s six pillars of a vibrant community.
This initiative focuses particularly on affordable places & inclusive spaces, access to economic opportunity and education. So far, our investees are working on addressing needs such as health insurance enrollment and providing more economic opportunities for local businesses. Interested in co-investing with CCF?
Visit our Giving page to learn more. Applying for a Place-Based Impact Investment (PBII) PBII investments are open to for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Unlike our grantmaking programs, this initiative funds projects that provide a positive return both financially and through social impact.
Investments may be made in three categories: CCF does not have a fixed schedule for applications for PBII funding.
