Coordination of the European software-defined vehicle platform is sponsored by European Commission — Horizon Europe. Expected Outcome: Proposals are expected to contribute to the following outcomes: Steer a European agenda to catalyse the development of a full software defined and hardware-enabled vehicle AD stack “built in Europe”, from onboard-compute architecture up to software in-vehicle up to the cloud. Establish structured intersectoral linkages between software, AI/data, hardware and deployment actors, ensuring that architectural decisions in the European AD stack are aligned across computing platforms, AI models, validation frameworks and real-world deployment environments. Promote a European R&I roadmap establishing pathways for the accelerated development of a European AI-powered AD stack, notably in close liaison with the relevant ECAVA Working Groups and relevant OSS initiatives. Ensure the engagement of key stakeholders across the Automotive value chain (including relevant OSS initiatives) toward an open-source software autonomous driving stack, including required industrial partners (such as OEMs, suppliers, tool-providers), and innovative R&I stakeholders (RTOs, universities, start-ups. If useful, already existing OSS AD stack initiatives together with the reference stacks (as S-CORE) from the Digital vehicle platform initiative playing an important role. Promote the cross-pollination of a collaborative ecosystem and testing infrastructure for an Open Source (OS) AD SW stack among industry, Member States, road operators and the EU in line with the Chips Act and AI Act. Support coordination of relevant actions on automotive hardware and software in the Chips JU the CCAM, and flagship actions in Member States partnership towards a European AD stack and ensure coherence and complementarity of newly emerging actions. Research Infrastructure Programs - Research Centers is sponsored by Department of Health And Human Services. The Office of Research Infrastructure Programs (ORIP), within the Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI) in the NIH Office of the Director, supports extramural biomedical research by strengthening the infrastructure that enables scientific discovery. ORIP advances human health by fostering the development of critical research models, biomaterials, and technologies; expanding access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and facilities; supporting education and training programs; and assisting small businesses in translating innovative technologies. Through its two divisions, the Division of Comparative Medicine (DCM) and the Division of Construction and Instruments (DCI), ORIP plays a critical role in accelerating biomedical research nationwide. DCM develops and sustains essential research models and biological resources, manages the infrastructure required for their use and distribution, and provides training to ensure investigators have reliable access to high-quality models and facilities. DCI supports shared, cost-effective access to advanced scientific instrumentation, modernizing research facilities, and providing critical equipment that enables transformative biomedical discoveries. Together, DCM and DCI strengthen U.S. competitiveness and ensure the biomedical research community has the infrastructure necessary to address emerging health challenges, prevent disease, promote health, and advance foundational science. NWO's KIC call on AI for agriculture, horticulture, water and food puts EUR 7,000,000 behind public-private consortia applying artificial intelligence across the Dutch agrifood and water sectors, with proposals due 13 October 2026 before 14:00 CEST. Individual consortia can request between EUR 600,000 and EUR 1,840,000. The scope is deliberately wide along the readiness axis: proposals may apply and further develop existing AI algorithms, or they may demonstrate a proof of principle relevant to the agriculture, horticulture, water and food sectors, so both applied deployment work and earlier-stage method development are in play. What distinguishes a KIC call from a standard research grant is the Knowledge and Innovation Covenant structure itself - proposals must be built as public-private consortia with genuine private sector involvement, and the strength and commitment of those industry partners weighs heavily in assessment. For an AI group, that means the binding constraint is usually finding growers, water authorities, food processors or agritech firms willing to commit resources and data, not the technical proposal. The Netherlands is an unusually dense environment for this given the concentration of horticulture and agrifood research around Wageningen, and the call is a recurring feature of the KIC programme, so groups that miss this round have a reasonable expectation of a future one.
