Plymouth ARISE | Plymouth, MA Health and Human Services Led by Plymouth HHS, the Plymouth Addiction Response and Improvement Strategies Effort (Plymouth ARISE) is the Town’s coordinated response to the opioid epidemic. The Town of Plymouth participates in the national/state settlements reached by the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General and Plymouth ARISE is made possible through municipal abatement funds.
Plymouth ARISE aims to increase community engagement and reduce stigma around opioid and other substance use, while enhancing services for Plymouth residents and families. Plymouth HHS is committed to investing in many impactful programs to address the opioid epidemic through Plymouth ARISE grants and other opportunities. The Plymouth ARISE request for proposals (RFP) opens annually.

Current and past Plymouth ARISE Grantees include: • Bay State Community Services (previous) • Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc. (BAMSI) (current) • High Point Treatment Center (current/two separate projects) • Plymouth County Sheriff's Office (current) • Plymouth Public Schools (current) • To The Moon and Back (current) The RFP cycle for FY'27 opened on Wednesday April 1, 2026 and applications are due by midnight on Friday, May 1, 2026.
Grant proposals are evaluated by an independent Plymouth ARISE Review Committee comprised of volunteer community-based, subject matter experts. Registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and municipal government entities that provide opioid-related services to Plymouth residents are eligible to apply. Previous Plymouth ARISE Grantees are also eligible to apply.
