Advocating for Change for Adolescents Initiative Advocating for Change for Adolescents Initiative PMNCH invites national youth-led organizations, coalitions and networks to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for catalytic grants under the ‘Advocating for Change for Adolescents’ initiative.
Since 2017, this programme has supported youth-led advocacy on adolescent health and well-being (AHWB) and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in multiple countries, building a cadre of empowered young advocates and strengthening national accountability for government commitments.
This next phase of grants will support the implementation of PMNCH adolescent health and well-being activities at the national level, in collaboration with and in support of the Collaborative Advocacy Action Plan (CAAP) architecture where applicable; build the capacity of youth-led and youth-serving organizations to advocate for AHWB and SRHR; and support follow-up on government commitments — in line with country priorities, the PMNCH Strategy 2026–2030, and building on the achievements of prior AY Grants phases (2017–2025).
This engagement will yield the following objectives: Strengthen coordination and collaboration between country partners working on advancing AHWB priorities, working jointly, where applicable, with (rather than parallel to) national CAAP initiatives.
Raise awareness and strengthen the capacities of adolescents and youth to build a cadre of empowered adolescent and youth advocates equipped with the skills to champion AHWB, including issues on SRHR. Enhance accountability for, and follow up on, national government commitments on AHWB. Raise visibility of AHWB issues among key national stakeholders, including government, civil society, UN agencies and philanthropies.
This call is open to national youth-led organizations, coalitions and networks based in CAAP-focused countries - Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, as well as non-CAAP-focused countries - India and Colombia To be eligible, applicant organizations should: Be youth-led — with young people (aged approximately 15–29) holding meaningful leadership or governance roles — or be a youth-serving organization with a strong track record of youth engagement; Be legally registered or otherwise formally recognized to operate in the country of application; Have demonstrated experience in, or a credible plan for, advocacy, coalition-building or community engagement on AHWB and/or SRHR; Be willing to work jointly with, and avoid duplicating, existing national CAAP coalitions and Coordinating Partners, where these exist in-country; Up to US $15,000 per organization 1 September 2026 – 31 August 2027 (12 months) In instalments tied to agreed deliverables, as set out in the grant agreement (Terms of Reference) and based on submission of reports as required.

A budget breakdown, using the template provided [ here ] ( download or make a copy , edit access will not be granted), within the indicative grant ceiling stated above; 3.
Proof of legal registration or formal recognition of the applicant organization; and 4. A brief organisational profile. Applications should be submitted in English .
Submission of an Expression of Interest does not guarantee funding. PMNCH reserves the right to accept or reject any application, to request additional information, or to amend the terms of this call at its discretion.
