Postgraduate Research Fellowship Program | Department of Biomedical Informatics Postgraduate Research Fellowship Program Our Biomedical Informatics Training Program has abundant opportunities for post-doctoral training and research: Post-doctoral research fellowships offer trainees with research or clinical doctorates with the opportunity to develop independent research projects mentored by training program faculty (see the research programs or faculty interests for opportunities).
Post-doctoral fellowships are ideal for individuals hoping to transition to academic careers. Our commitment to the research aspirations of our postdocs, includes extensive mentoring; training and support for research proposal submission; and career guidance. Our postdocs have strong records of success in their pursuit of NIH K grants and eventually in obtaining faculty positions.
Although previous training in computer science, informatics, or related fields is highly desirable, trainees with diverse training backgrounds and research experience are encouraged to apply. Certificate and MS programs: Our certificate and MS programs are available for both clinicians and individuals with research doctorates coming from fields outside of informatics. For information see our education page . Postdoctoral funding may be available through our T15 training program for applicants who are citizens or permanent residents.
