Power of Change (Emergency Assistance) is sponsored by AES Indiana. The Power of Change program helps eligible AES Indiana customers manage energy costs through emergency financial support. Customers experiencing temporary financial hardship may qualify for additional support through community partners.

Power of change | AES Indiana When energy costs become difficult to manage, Power of Change can help. Power of Change helps eligible AES Indiana customers manage energy costs through monthly bill assistance and emergency financial support.

As part of AES Indiana’s commitment to affordability, Power of Change provides ongoing bill credits for customers receiving state energy assistance and maintains funding for customers experiencing temporary financial hardship. Whether customers need predictable monthly support or help during an unexpected financial challenge, Power of Change is designed to connect customers with assistance when they need it most.

Customers approved for state energy assistance through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) are automatically enrolled in the Power of Change monthly bill credit program. Eligible customers will receive a $10 credit on their AES Indiana bill each month from July through December 2026. Power of Change also maintains funding for one-time emergency bill assistance.

Customers experiencing temporary financial hardship may still qualify for additional support through community partners, subject to available funding At this time, no separate application is required for the monthly bill credit. Customers who qualify for and apply for LIHEAP will be automatically enrolled in the program and receive the credit on their AES Indiana bill.
