Federally recognized Native American tribal governments This program provides funding to the 61 eligible applicants identified in the authorizing statute to address their unique public health needs and challenges using innovative, locally defined methods.
All 50 U.S. states (State Health Departments), the District of Columbia, 2 American Indian Tribes (Santee Sioux; Kickapoo Tribe, KS), 5 U.S. Territories (American Samoa, Guam, Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands) and 3 Freely Associated States (Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Marshall Islands, and Republic of Palau) are eligible to apply.
