Pride Foundation Australia Large Grant Round 2026 (ATSSSI) is sponsored by Australian Communities Foundation. This grant round from Pride Foundation Australia offers grants to support LGBTQIA+ Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and South Sea Islander (ATSSSI) People and Communities.

Large Grants | Pride Foundation Australia LGBTQIA+ Grant Making Large Grant funding rounds open from time to time as funds become available. Our Large Grants are sometimes collaborative, with financial support from another philanthropic funder. Applying for a grant is a two-stage process: Firstly, Pride Foundation will call for expressions of interest (EOI), which asks for an outline of the proposed project.

These are then reviewed, with a small number of the best applicants being invited to make a full submission. This ‘short-list’ is usually completed within 1 month of the closing of the EOI stage. Short-listed applicants will then be invited to submit a detailed application together with a detailed budget.

Please note: Expressions of Interest and full applications must be submitted online through the Australian Communities Foundation Grants Portal. Commonly the Large Grants Are Suited to Projects Including: Applied, community-led research with tangible outcomes in the field The grants are not intended to support capital and building works, vehicles, furniture or equipment, general fund-raising, travel, books or religious activities.

There are no large grants currently open for expressions of interest. Magabala Pride Fellowship We’re proud to launch the inaugural Pride Fellowship, supporting LGBTQIASB+ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers and storytellers. In partnership with Magabala Books, the Fellowship will award $10,000 to a First Nations storyteller to dedicate time to developing or completing a manuscript.

Applications close Friday 24 April 2026 (midnight AWST). Closes when funding pool is exhausted. Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, South Sea Islander (ATSSSI) Grants Round 1, 2026 Pride Foundation Australia (PFA) is proud to announce our first large grant round in this focus area with a total funding pool of $100,000.

Grant applications should be between $5,000 to $20,000 (maximum) over two years (if applicable). Applications are now open and close when funding pool is exhausted. Regional & Rural Communities Providing support to rural and regional LGBTQIA+ organisations where queer connection is so vital, yet so often overlooked.

Supporting LGBTQIA+ visual and performing arts as a necessity of queer life: celebration and commiseration through storytelling and connection. People Living With Disability Improving intersectionality of support services for LGBTQIA+ Australians living with a disability.
