Project REACH is sponsored by United Way of Southern Nevada. Project REACH, part of the UWSN Emergency Assistance Fund, provides emergency food, housing, and utility assistance to low-income older adults (age 62+) in Southern Nevada. This specific application is for utility assistance.

Project REACH helps qualifying seniors pay their past-due utility bills during times of financial hardship. This program provides up to $300 in assistance for essential utilities including electricity, gas, water, and sewer. Qualifying individuals can apply for assistance once every 12 months.

Applications are accepted at participating nonprofit organizations. Applicant must provide a Nevada ID, proof of income eligibility, and a copy of their past-due utility bill in their name. In addition to year-round utility assistance, UWSN hosts the Project REACH Senior Expos every August.

These in-person Expos allow qualifying individuals to receive in-person utility assistance and other support services. Help keep Southern Nevada’s older adults safe and comfortable. Donate today to support Project REACH and provide critical relief to our senior community.

Nevada ID (Driver’s License, ID card, etc.) A copy of the past-due utility bill (Utility bills must be in the applicant’s name and the applicant must reside at the address for which assistance is needed) Proof of Income – this can be a letter from the Social Security Administration, a letter from DETR, recent paystubs, or a pension letter. A completed Project REACH application.

Contact the agencies listed below to get started on your application today. Are you eligible for Project REACH? Eligible individuals and households can submit one application every 12 months (rolling) for up to $300 in utility assistance at area nonprofit organizations.

All applicants should have a form of Nevada ID when applying for assistance. Applicant must provide proof of eligibility and a copy of their utility bill. Utility bills must in the applicant’s name and the applicant must reside at the address for which assistance is needed.
