Project TitanCore - Modular Data Centers for AI Compute is a solicitation from the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) that funds commercial companies to develop a Modular Data Center product family providing high-density, rapidly deployable AI compute for military use. Awards are made via Prototype Other Transaction agreements under DIU's Commercial Solutions Opening process, with potential for follow-on production contracts. The solicitation covers two solution paths — Core and Edge — addressing modular scalability, high-density power and cooling, networking, cybersecurity, survivability, and sustainment. Eligible applicants include U.S. and allied-country companies with commercially viable, off-the-shelf products. Proposals are submitted as short solution briefs via DIU's online portal.
DoW's 2026 SBIR Broad Agency Announcement now operates on a monthly pre-release / quarterly close cadence. The 42 topics closing June 24 are the first test of whether the new rhythm produces the steady-state deal flow defense innovators have been asking for since 2022.
