We believe in funding initiatives that others might not – supporting new ideas, building organizational capacity, and scaling solutions that work.

We support programs that address immediate healthcare needs while also investing in long-term, systemic changes that promote wellness at every stage of life. The Heatherington Foundation provides grants on a rolling basis, allowing us to be responsive to community needs and emerging opportunities.

As a private foundation, we have the flexibility to move quickly when innovative ideas emerge and to adapt our funding approach based on evolving healthcare challenges. We partner with organizations that share our commitment to improving health outcomes in Oregon communities.

Eligible organizations include: Community health programs Healthcare innovation initiatives We support programs and initiatives that: Improve access to healthcare in underserved communities Address mental health needs Support healthcare education and workforce development Build organizational capacity Foster healthcare innovation Promote preventive care and wellness Support substance abuse recovery Enhance early childhood development We support programs and initiatives that: Review our funding priorities and eligibility requirements Submit an initial inquiry through our online portal If invited, complete a full grant application Participate in a site visit or virtual meeting with our team Transforming healthcare through education, innovation, and access.
