Mike Kabanica Scholarship This scholarship fund is named for Mike Kabanica, a long time WSA president. Each year WYSA grants six scholarships to graduating seniors who portray commitment and excellence in their high school years. Three young women and three young men are selected based on their dedication to the sport of soccer, excellence in the classroom as well as their involvement in community service.

The 2026 grant period closes September 30, 2026. 2026 Promotional Grant Guidelines 2026 Promotional Grant Application Referee Mentorship & Retention Initiative WYSA has developed the WYSA Referee Mentorship and Retention Initiative. This Initiative will be executed locally, at the Club and District level, in cooperation with WYSA and the Wisconsin Program for Referee Development.
The objective is to increase the number of available referees across the State through retention of existing officials and registration of new referees. RMRI Qualifications & Application
