Mayor's Fund for Las Vegas LIFE The Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE is a vehicle for private partners – corporations, foundations, and individuals – to support critical programs and priorities of the city of Las Vegas that improve quality of life for all Las Vegas residents, with particular focus on underserved and vulnerable populations.
The Mayor’s Fund recognizes that with the help of the private sector, transformative city initiatives can advance more quickly, broadly and effectively. The Mayor’s Fund is unwavering in its dedication to foster a community where attainable housing, vibrant arts and culture, and recreational opportunities are accessible to all residents, enhancing and elevating the overall livability of our city.

The Mayor’s Fund places a paramount emphasis on education, extending support from the City’s Pre-K initiatives to comprehensive before-and-after-school programs, youth enrichment, and workforce development, ensuring a holistic approach to nurturing and empowering our city’s learners. The Las Vegas Book Festival is the largest literary event in Nevada and attracts 10,000+ attendees of all ages.
Las Vegas Community Healing Garden The Las Vegas Community Healing Garden is a place of healing and respect for those who were lost on October 1, 2017. The Courtyard Ending Homelessness Supporting the path to independence for the 6,000+ individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Southern Nevada.
Going Green for Good Health is a city program to plant 60,000 trees by 2050 in areas of the city most affected by the urban heat island, including Downtown, East Las Vegas and areas within the Historic Westside. Las Vegas’ Historic Westside is the first neighborhood in the city to have a community-based agricultural farming facility at James Gay Park.
