Public Health Infrastructure Grant | dmh. mo. gov Public Health Infrastructure Grant The Department of Mental Health and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services are partnering on a 5 year grant funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to promote workforce mental health and well-being for local public health agencies (LPHAs).
WORKplace WELLbeing promotes overall organizational well-being through a trauma informed approach. It’s about building the infrastructure to create a safe culture in every corner of Missouri, so we can speak openly about mental health.
The trauma initiatives will include educational modules on Missouri Model Developmental Framework, surveying the LPHA workforce on trauma readiness, Sanctuary Model implementation, and creating a Peer Network of employees who can help respond to critical incidents and help employees’ access additional resources.
Public Health Infrastructure Grant Overview Public Health Infrastructure Grant One-Pager Through the Public Health Infrastructure CDC grant, Missouri Local Public Health Agencies can take a FREE 8-Week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) classes through Brown University through October, 2027. Expanding Naloxone Access and Community Trainings (ENACT) is sponsored by Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) Academic Career Excellence (ACE) Award (K32) is a grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) that funds early postdoctoral fellows from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented groups, to pursue research training in cancer-related fields. The K32 award supports fellows within 12 months prior to transitioning into, or within the first two years of, a postdoctoral position. The program, operated through NCI's Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD), aims to enhance the pool of qualified diverse cancer researchers. Beginning with the June 12, 2025 due date, the CURE ACE Award is available in both Independent Clinical Trial Required and Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed versions.
