RADICAL IMAGINATION - NDN COLLECTIVE Reimagining a better world through radical The Radical Imagination Artists Grant offers power-building resources to visual and performance-based artists, writers, filmmakers, storytellers, and other Indigenous creatives who are deeply engaged with their communities.

Through their work, these artists develop alternative visions that inspire the Indigenous movement towards a just world for all people and Mother Earth. The grant provides direct support to individual Indigenous artists, artist collectives, and small nonprofit organizations to develop and amplify creative work rooted in community and movement.

We believe Indigenous creatives have the power to amplify community voices, raise awareness of critical issues, and inspire the movement toward a just world for all people and Mother Earth. The Radical Imagination Artists grant supports Indigenous artists, artist collectives, and small nonprofits whose creative work is deeply connected to community and movement-building.

All artists are welcome to explore our Power Building Library to support your efforts to Defend, Develop and Decolonize. Radical Imagination Artists Grant supports efforts to: Propose solutions to dismantle structural racism while defending the air, land, waters, and Indigenous rights.

Imagine and practice justice within their communities while working to build a just world for all people and Mother Earth. Reclaim Indigenous lifeways while amplifying community voices to dismantle inequitable systems.

Awarded artists are 18 years and over who are Indigenous to and reside in the post-colonial borders of the United States and the related Island Nations of Hawai’i, Borikén/Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Grant funds may be used to support a living stipend, creative production supplies, equipment, and travel.

It is required that 12% of the funds must be used to support the artist’s self-care, health, and well-being. Attendance: Awarded grantees will be required to attend three online convenings over the grant year including the Welcome & Orientation Convening, a Mid-Year Convening, and a Final Convening..

Reporting: Awarded grantees are required to submit two reports throughout the grant cycle, a Mid-Term Report, and a Final Report at the end of the grant year. Need technical support? [email protected] Want to learn more about the grant program?
