Applications Open June 2026 Rainbow Community Grant Program Rainbow Communications is deeply rooted in the communities we serve. Our Rainbow Community Grant Program provides funding to support initiatives that improve life in rural Northeast Kansas.

We fund projects that align with: Business and Economic Development – Boosting local businesses and entrepreneurs Community Development – Supporting organizations that enhance the well-being of our towns Education and Workforce – Advancing learning opportunities, digital literacy, and career readiness through access to technology, training, and educational resources Health and Wellbeing – Promoting programs and services that improve mental, physical, and emotional wellness in our communities Public Service and First Responders – Assisting local fire, police, EMS, and civic organizations with tools and resources to keep our communities safe and connected If you have a community project that could use financial support, we encourage you to apply!

Grant requests are available for up to $5,000. To ensure successful outcomes, preference will be given to projects fully fundable through this grant or have already secured all additional funding. Foundation for Rural Services (FRS) Community Grant Program As a proud member of NTCA , Rainbow Communications assists local nonprofits and businesses in applying for the FRS Community Grant Program.

This nationwide initiative supports projects that enhance the quality of life in rural America.

Each year, FRS awards grants in these key areas: Business and Economic Development Public Service and First Responders What Grants Will Not Fund: Political or lobbying activities Ticketed events or sponsorships Infrastructure or capital campaigns Security cameras & digital signage Loan repayments or salaries Religious-based activities International Organizations Capital Campaigns or Endowments Projects that have not secured 75% of the required funds for completion For any questions regarding the Rainbow Community Grant Program or the FRS Community Grant Program, please reach out to: We’re excited to continue supporting initiatives that bring lasting value to our communities.
