“I had a series of strokes in August ‘22 and was diagnosed with a rare blood clotting disorder. I was told I would never walk again. I went through a divorce at the same time as my stroke recovery began.

I was initially completely dependent on my mom who had to stop working to become my care provider. The team at re+active has been so supportive. I would still be bed ridden and completely dependent on others without the therapy I’ve received at re+active.

Without this therapy I wouldn’t be in college right now to become a dental hygienist, I wouldn’t be driving, I wouldn’t even be able to care for my dog. I wouldn’t be able to do the everyday stuff that ev eryone hopes to do and has to do. Without financial support, I wouldn’t have received the care that has changed my life at re+active.

With this scholarship, I got my life back. ” Your generosity gives our scholarship recipients access to life-changing neurologic rehab with a team of PT, OT, psychology and wellness they don’t have access to anywhere else. "Living with chronic fatigue can make simple tasks unforgiving, and some days honestly depressing.

On my own, I can't afford the therapy services I need to help me live my life the way I want to live. Receiving a scholarship from re+active has meant that I can participate fully in PT, OT and psychology services that help me continue moving forward with my life. One recent experience that made a big difference to me at re+active was walking 10 consecutive minutes on a treadmill with an incline.

That made my month! Last year, I had trouble standing for more than 5 minutes, and now I am on a treadmill. I am ready for the challenges ahead, and I am so grateful that re+active is there to lead the charge with me."
