REACH Georgia Scholarship Program - Bulloch County Schools search-form#clearSearch'> Preparing students for success & enhancing community value search-form#clearSearch'> REACH Georgia Scholarship Program REACH Georgia is a needs-based mentoring and scholarship program designed to ensure that the state’s academically promising students have the academic, social, and financial support needed to graduate from high school and complete college.
Bulloch County is one of five school systems that the state initially selected to pilot the program. The Georgia Student Finance Corporation holds the scholarships for scholars until they graduate from high school. More than 63 colleges and universities in Georgia are partners with the REACH Georgia program.
As they are able, they have limited additional funds that may be available to REACH scholars who attend their college or university. It's important that scholars speak with their chosen post-secondary institution's financial aid office early in their college application and acceptance process and annually throughout their undergraduate journey.
This will give scholars the best opportunity to take advantage of these limited additional funds that may match or supplement their original $10,000 scholarship.

Bulloch County Schools has now been able to see many of our cohorts of scholars graduate from high school, college, and even graduate school. Our REACH Georgia scholars are selected in their eighth-grade year, so their Bulloch County cohort relates to that year, not their graduation year. Meet them here .
Demonstrate financial need; Be a legal U.S. citizen/resident; Have and maintain above average attendance and behavior; Have grade reports with minimum grades of 75 or better in each core course (2. 5 grade point average); Have and maintain a crime-free and drug-free record; Be supported by a parent, legal guardian, or committed adult.
In Bulloch County, the Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education is the underwriting sponsor that keeps the program active in our community. The Foundation provides $1,000 per student to help fund the seed capital for the $10,000 base scholarship. You can help in this effort by contributing to the Foundation, supporting its fundraisers or by becoming a corporate sponsor of the program.
