Reds Community Fund Youth Baseball & Softball Funding | Cincinnati Reds REDS COMMUNITY FUND YOUTH BASEBALL & SOFTBALL FUNDING REDS YOUTH BASEBALL & SOFTBALL FUNDING The Reds Youth Baseball and Softball Funding program enters its 22nd year in 2026. This initiative is a funding mechanism to support youth baseball and softball organizations.
The program is inspired by local inner-city coaches who help keep baseball and softball vibrant in our communities, while striving to be positive role models. The Reds Community Fund began this initiative in 2005 by funding five Knothole baseball organizations.
In 2025, the Reds Community Fund partnered with Kid Glove and the Rosie Reds organization to support 135+ organizations while financially assisting more than 23,770 student-athletes. The Reds Community Fund will again partner with Kid Glove and the Rosie Reds to launch its baseball and softball funding program for the 2026 season.
Grant dollars can be used by approved organizations to assist with equipment, uniforms, and/or field support. In order to qualify for funding, organizations must submit a grant application and receive a formal invitation to participate. All organizations must apply and be approved to receive funding.
In order to be eligible, your organization must meet the following criteria: Operate in "Reds Country" (Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana) Serve the community by affording youth the opportunity to play baseball or softball All participating organizations are subject to an end of season financial audit If you have questions, please contact Kenny Pope at kpope@reds.

Each year, CFNF awards ten grants of $5,000 each to eligible organizations. A separate Arts Nonprofit Grant Cycle awards five grants of $6,000 each for arts organizations in the same region. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations serving one or more of eleven counties including Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, and Wakulla, with at least two years of operating history in the region.
