The Regional Infrastructure Fund (RIF) was originally created in 2013 to support priority projects identified through the Regional Solutions Program. During the 2026 session, the legislature allocated $10 million general fund into the RIF for grants to local and tribal governments with populations under 25,000 for infrastructure projects, including long-range planning, research and design.
The RIF is Open for Applications Business Oregon is pleased to announce a Request for Grant Applications (“RFGA”) for the 2026 Regional Infrastructure Fund. Applicants may choose to pursue Construction Projects or Planning, Research or Design Projects. Construction Projects , the minimum award is $100,000 and the maximum award is $1,000,000 .
For Planning, Research and Design Projects , the minimum award is $25,000 and the maximum award is $250,000 . All projects must align with at least one of the Community and Economic Development Priorities adopted by the local Regional Solutions Advisory Committee , demonstrate readiness and be able to be completed within 24 months.
