html This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites cooperative agreement (UG4) applications for Regional Medical Libraries (RMLs) as an integral component of the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM).
The goal of the NNLM is to advance the progress of medicine and improve public health by providing U.S. health professionals with equal access to biomedical information and improving individual's access to information to enable them to make informed decisions about their health. Eight Health Sciences Libraries will function as the RML for their respective region.
The RMLs will coordinate the operation of a Network of Libraries and other organizations to carry out regional and national programs. The RMLs will ensure a continuity of quality service for core programs of the Network of the National Library of Medicine, and cooperatively design, implement and evaluate innovative approaches to serve the health information needs of health professionals and the public in the future.

The Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) participated in all seven sites for the national launch of the NIH All of Us Research Program (AoURP) on May 6, 2018.
The event announced the opening of the national participant recruitment in NIH's research program that aims to enable the research breakthroughs that will bring us precision medicine. In addition to participating in each launch site, the NNLM and the Delta Research and Educational Foundation hosted the Kansas City launch site.
Last August NLM and the NNLM entered into a partnership with the NIH AoURP program to work with public libraries to engage local communities, raise awareness about the program for populations underrepresented in biomedical research, and improve health literacy.
