Projects should enhance preventive medicine, health promotion, disease prevention, and healthcare access in rural and medically vulnerable communities with the goal to increase the supply of a high-quality public health Program objectives include: Expand and enhance the public health workforce Increase community-based training partnerships in rural and medically vulnerable areas Provide tailored, quality training to address current and emerging public health needs including chronic disease management and improving health and nutrition More information on program requirements for a training center and training programs, community-based training partnership, traineeships, field placements, faculty-student collaborative projects, leadership institutes, and evaluations can be found in the application instructions .
