Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund (RSIF) is sponsored by World Bank (supported by African governments, Government of Korea, and other partners). The RSIF is a flagship initiative of the Partnership for skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology (PASET) program.
It aims to train additional PhDs in ASET disciplines at selected African universities, provide research grants to PhDs and faculty, and offer innovation grants to link universities with economic partners and address development challenges. It also seeks to build the capacity of approximately 10 African universities to become world-class institutions.
