Act 55 modernizes the Registered Apprenticeship system in Vermont and creates a new, comprehensive framework for the approval, operation, and regulation of Registered Apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, and youth apprenticeship programs through the Department of Labor. Additionally, it creates the Apprenticeship Advisory Board.
This body advises the Department, sponsors, employers, and related instruction providers in the promotion, creation, and maintenance of Registered Apprenticeship programs in Vermont.
