Regular Grants Program

Regular Grants Program is a grant program from The Abell Foundation that funds initiatives to improve health, economic, and educational outcomes in Baltimore City. The foundation awards grants ranging from $10,000 to $400,000 across seven focus areas: health and human services, education, community development, workforce development, criminal justice and addiction, environment, and arts.

First-time or returning nonprofit applicants with requests of $10,000 or less are reviewed on a rolling basis with no deadline. Requests greater than $10,000 from returning applicants are reviewed at one of five annual Board meetings. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and government agencies serving Baltimore City.

The foundation also offers program-related investments for nonprofits seeking flexible financing, as well as mission-related and direct investment opportunities for companies and impact funds.
