Lending Services – NHSNYC As a federally certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), NHSNYC offers: affordable loans for the purchase of coops and condos emergency home repair grants home repair and home improvement loans Eligible properties include 1- to 4-family, condos, and cooperatives (including Mitchell-Lama and HDFCs) within the New York metropolitan area (all five boroughs): Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island Minimum required FICO score: 620 To Apply for a Grant, Loan, or Mortgage: Use the green button under any product listed below.

Possible repairs, improvements, and modifications (not available for all property types): Roof replacement or repair Correcting Department of Buildings and Environmental Control Board violations Resiliency modifications, including but not limited to: Water backflow prevention valves Storm resistant windows and doors Water leak detector installation Safety and aging-in-place modifications, including but not limited to: Changing a tub into a walk-in shower Installation of grab bars and railings Floor repair or replacement Wheelchair accessibility improvements Reimagining Home Repair Grant THIS GRANT IS ON PAUSE.

For home improvements and rehabilitation. May be moderate to substantial. Minimum loan amount: $20,000.

Rapid Repair Loan Program Quick approval for repairs such as: boiler repair or replacement, roof, water-main break, plumbing, electrical, windows, accessibility (wheelchair ramp, safety grab bars/rails etc.) 5-year, fixed-rate term (6%) Income-based or Census tract-based (165% AMI maximum) Primary residence and must be owner occupied To apply, please download and complete the intake form, email the completed form to Lending@nhsnyc.
